BOOK BLUFFERS AND LITERARY LIARS

Top 10 books that people claim to have read...
1) 1984 by George Orwell... My favourite book.
2) War and Peace by Leo Tolstoy... I have a copy and I've read some of it, I mean, have you seen how thick it is?
3) Ulysses by James Joyce... own it and have read it.

4) The Bible... Pass.
5) Madame Bovary by Gustave Flaubert... This is also on one of my bookshelves.
6) A Brief History of Time by Stephen Hawking... brilliant, I have this as well.

7) Midnight's Children by Salman Rushdie... had to read it for a course.

8) In Remembrance of Things Past by Marcel Proust... Oh come on, this is one of the best things ever to have been written.
9) Dreams from my Father by Barack Obama... Can't say I have been tempted.
10) The Selfish Gene by Richard Dawkins... 'Oh my Science!'* I've read this as well.

I can't believe that people don't read books, the secret is that you have to stop watching so much brain numbing television... ditch the soap operas and read a book.I was sitting in a cafe in a shopping centre, I was relaxing with a drink and a book.
