DON'T BUY OVERPRICED PRESCRIPTION GLASSES

One of the contacts that I maintain via Twitter is with the online opticians at Glasses Direct.

They know what they are doing, they have the aim of providing anyone who wants a quality pair of inexpensive glasses with a quality pair of inxpensive glasses.

That's what they do.

Of course, the major high street chains with their enormous advertising budgets (that you are paying for) are trying to cut their prices to catch up, but do you really think that their aim is to do anything other than rip you off?

I have a drawer full of excellent quality glasses from Glasses Direct and I still haven't spent a fraction of the cost that my former high street optician charged me for the last pair (and they are the LAST pair) of glasses that they overcharged me for.

High street opticians are like burger chains, everybody, everywhere gets the same rubbish service.

In my opinion, and this is just my opinion, they charge hundreds of pounds for a pair of glasses that you could get for around £20 online.

Don't be fooled, they are trying to reinstate the monopoly that they used to have, if they could get rid of online opticians I'm sure that they would.
